Emerald Peak
Though larger than Ruby Peak, Emerald Peak has not strategic defenses. It was one of the first to fall during the ritual war. Greatly weakened by a singular ritual attack, and then flooded and occupied by foot troops very early into to war. It's rich soil provided nutrition for the fields of produce, ready to be shipped out to the various points among the kingdom. After falling to the Human forces, the Peaks were forced to survive on their stores, many people starved. The council repopulated and rebuilt it a few years after the war, once peace was established. Defences were scrapped, and they focused their attentions to successful evacuation, and stockpiling supplies into the other Peaks.
The soil is drenched with minerals, brought down from the glaciers at the peak of the mountain, which freeze and melt annually. Start of spring, the Peak experiences a flood season, where the banks of the Lake Leann'ul burst, the fields become submerged in nutrient rich water. The annual flood lasts four weeks, during which the people vacate the flood plains and settle down in the keep, taking their grazing cattle with them to the higher ground. When the hot sun hits, the water returns back to its river banks leaving soft soil perfect for growing crops, which will feed not only Emerald Peak, but Sapphire and Ruby Peak also.
The lake is home to many fish and animals, during autumn months the Salmon swim upstream. Their silvery scales reflect light, giving the streams surrounding the Peak a mystical sparkle under the cool sun. It is during this time the people harvest majority of their crops. The cool breeze allowing the people to work longer hours without risk of dehydration, and leaving the hot summer time to fully feed their plants.
Emerald Peak covers much more land than the other two combined, the population is similar to that of Sapphire peak. These people are not warriors, they are farmers. A small guard take watch over various towers scattered over the lands. Armed with bow and arrow they watch for invaders and poachers who may seek to steal cattle or produce. Though they have not seen a fight for some time, the guard train daily, not to protect the Peak. But to defend the people as they evacuate to the capital in the instance of an impending attack. There is very little in regard to defenses.
The people often prefer the study of Druidism and Hydromancy. Nature and Water are in abundance. The two work together to feed the produce. A large number of geomancers also call this region their home, and generally assist with the transport of produce up the mountain walls when ritual transportation is unavailable. There are no notable houses in Emerald Peak. Majority of it's original inhabitants perished in the war, and it has been rebuilt by settlers who share a love for things that are green and like to avoid the high stone walls of the other two holds.
